1. Traditionally, commercial LPG is marketed in various cylinder sizes of 19 kg, 35 kg and 47.5 kg package size for commercial and industrial applications Both 35 kg & 47.5 kg have VOT as well as LOT type of installation. Normally, in order to overcome the space constraint in LOT installations vaporizers am provided at customer premises. The average off-take of such customers varies between 15 MT to 90 MT per month and these customers are able to optimize their full consumption and save expenses on Bulk installation.

In order to overcome the shortcomings of LOT installations (3s kg and 47.5 kg), ( max. withdrawal rate, operating pressure, nos. of cylinders in the gas bank etc.) an innovation in the form of 422 kg cylinders has been introduced by BPCL named HIPPO. As the installations with 422 kg cylinders with LOT valves offer additional advantages like lesser space requirement, fewer joints, lesser handling, enhancing the overall safety, these are gaining popularity amongst industry and putting intense competition to LOT (35 kg and 47.5 kg) segment as well as Bulk LPG installations
